Event coincides with White House Star Party
FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama Planetarium and Observatory is hosting a Star Party at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7. The event coincides with the White House Star Party, where the President will award the National Medal of Science and National Medal of Technology and Innovation and will host an event for middle-school students.
The UNA Planetarium Star Party will include a discussion of star constellations and the building of a balloon-powered rocket car. Weather permitting, the evening will also include telescope observations.
